03Public record

Public charity information

Charity number

1200040

The Charity Commission register is the official place to view KCK’s current public record. Visitors can search the register using KCK’s charity number, 1200040.

04Status

How KCK describes its work

Every programme and activity should carry one status. This helps a visitor tell the difference between something available now, something that happened in the past and something KCK hopes to develop.

05Evidence

How KCK uses evidence

Organisational facts come from KCK records and require approval from the relevant KCK owner or trustee. Medical claims use current authoritative guidance and appropriate clinical review.

A source must support the exact claim being made, not simply relate to the same broad topic.

Activity numbers need

  • A definition
  • A date range
  • A source
  • An approver

A figure for

  • People attending a session

Should not be described as

  • People helped
  • Behaviour changed
  • Cancers prevented

If the underlying record is incomplete, KCK will omit the number or explain the limitation.

A future impact report should show both activity and learning. It may include what KCK delivered, who the intended audience was, what feedback was collected, what could not be measured and what will change next. Positive stories should not replace an agreed method.

06Medical content

Medical content governance

Medical pages should identify the

  • Writer
  • Clinical reviewer
  • Review date
  • Next review date
  • Country scope
  • Direct sources

A reviewer name and date appear only after the exact published version has been approved.

Pages should be reviewed at least every 12 months, or sooner when

  • An official authority changes its guidance
  • A source is withdrawn
  • The page’s scope changes
  • A credible correction is received

Country-specific screening and vaccination information needs particular care because eligibility and services change.

Interactive tools use fixed, approved rules. KCK should not use an open-ended chatbot to create personal medical advice or a cancer-risk score.

07Research

Research accountability

Research updates should distinguish a concept, work in development, an approved study, active recruitment, completed data collection and published results. No stage should be implied by a logo, a partnership mention or an expected date.

  1. A concept
  2. Work in developmentKBCK is here
  3. An approved study
  4. Active recruitment
  5. Completed data collection
  6. Published results

KBCK is in development. It is not active or recruiting, and KCK does not claim results, benefits, approval or access through this website. Any later update must state its date, owner, status, source and limitations.

08Fundraising

Fundraising accountability

Before a person confirms payment, the donation page should show the

  • Amount
  • Currency
  • Frequency
  • Payment provider

KCK should publish impact amounts or spending percentages only when the trustees have approved the evidence and method behind them.

A donation does not buy medical advice, screening, treatment, referral or research access.

09Partners

Partners and public recognition

KCK should describe each organisation according to the real relationship.

A name or logo may recognise

  • Support
  • Collaboration
  • A completed connection

It does not automatically mean

  • Endorsement
  • Clinical review
  • A financial arrangement
  • An ongoing commitment

Logos, photographs and quotations require appropriate permission. Public wording should be updated if a relationship changes or ends.
