About KCK
What is Killing Cancer Kindly?
Killing Cancer Kindly is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in England and Wales, charity number 1200040. KCK helps people understand and reduce preventable cancer risks through clear information, practical action, community education and responsible research. More about KCK.
When was KCK founded?
KCK was founded and registered in 2022.
Where does KCK work?
KCK carries out activities in the United Kingdom and Pakistan and shares online information with a wider audience. It is not registered as a charity in Pakistan or the United States.
What are KCK’s three pillars?
Prevent what we can, notice and act earlier, and make cancer care kinder. See what KCK does.
What is KCK’s long-term aim?
“Our aim is to reduce the cancer risk from 50% down to 5% by 2050.” This is an ambitious organisational aim, not a personal risk calculation, guarantee or achieved result. KCK needs an approved measurement method before reporting progress against the figures.
Who are the trustees?
The trustees are Dr Mohammad Muneeb Khan, Amina Gagieva and Fatima Gagieva.
02Topic
Prevention & medical
Can every cancer be prevented?
No. The World Health Organization reported in 2026 that approximately 38 per cent of cancers can currently be prevented through existing evidence-based strategies. That is a population estimate, not a promise about an individual. Age, genes, environment, access and chance also matter, and nobody is to blame for developing cancer.
What actions can reduce cancer risk?
Important actions include avoiding tobacco and second-hand smoke, moving regularly, eating a varied pattern with wholegrains, vegetables, fruit and beans, supporting a healthy weight, drinking less alcohol or none, protecting yourself from ultraviolet radiation, and using HPV or hepatitis B vaccination when official guidance recommends it. See KCK’s cancer prevention page or read the guide to reducing cancer risk.
Does KCK diagnose or treat cancer?
No. KCK does not diagnose illness, assess symptoms, provide treatment or medicine advice, arrange screening, give results, make referrals or provide personal medical or emotional support.
What should I do if I notice a symptom?
Contact an appropriate healthcare professional or official health service. Do not wait for screening or use BMI, a video or an email response to decide that a symptom is safe. If someone may be in immediate danger, use the local emergency service.
Is screening the same as prevention?
No. Prevention aims to lower the chance of cancer developing. Screening looks for signs of a particular cancer or precancerous change in people without symptoms. Screening is not diagnosis, has benefits and harms, and follows country and programme rules.
How does KCK review medical information?
KCK uses current authoritative sources, writes for the intended audience and records a clinical review before publication. A medical page should show the writer, reviewer, review date, next review date, country scope and direct sources. It is reviewed sooner if guidance changes or a credible correction is received.
03Topic
BMI calculator
Is BMI a cancer test?
No. BMI is a rough adult measure based on height and weight. It cannot diagnose health, directly measure body fat or tell you whether you will develop cancer. Open the KCK BMI calculator.
Who should not use the KCK BMI tool?
Do not use it for a child, during pregnancy, or to assess a symptom. It may also be unsuitable or less informative for people with an eating disorder, high muscle mass, a condition that affects height, a disability or amputation, fluid changes, frailty or treatment that affects weight. Ask a professional for an appropriate assessment.

Education & stories
What is KCK Education Hub?
It is KCK’s dedicated learning platform for children, young people, families, schools and educators. It will hold comics, characters, activities, videos and detailed age-appropriate prevention learning. The Hub is launching soon.
How is the main website different from the Hub?
The main website is KCK’s official organisational home. It covers the charity, governance, programmes, research, news, donations and involvement. The Hub is the specialist education library.
Where can I find KCK books and comics?
The Education Hub will show which titles are available and how to read, download or buy them once each destination, edition, right and fulfilment route is approved.
Can a school invite KCK?
A school can send an enquiry with its location, audience, age group, topic, timing and support needs. KCK will consider the request according to its mission, evidence, capacity and responsibilities. An enquiry is not a confirmed visit. Contact KCK.
