Community work and events

Clear cancer prevention conversations in real settings

KCK works with schools, communities and organisations to make prevention information easier to understand and discuss.

01Why it matters

Why community work matters

Cancer-prevention information is most useful when people can ask questions, relate it to daily life and understand where to find further help. A school, university, community organisation or healthcare setting can create that space in a way a webpage alone cannot.

KCK brings clear explanation, stories and discussion into suitable settings. The aim is to make reliable ideas easier to understand and remember without frightening people or asking them to share private health information in public.

One session cannot remove cancer risk or prove that behaviour changed.

Community education is one part of a longer effort that also depends on supportive families, services, policies and environments.

02How we plan

How KCK plans an activity

  1. Understand

Understand the audience, age group, setting and reason for the activity.

  2. Agree

Agree the topic, format, language, length and responsibilities with the host.

  3. Check

Use current sources and arrange clinical or subject review where the content needs it.

  4. Confirm

Confirm accessibility, supervision, safeguarding, privacy, photography and practical arrangements.

  5. Deliver

Deliver the activity without asking participants to disclose personal medical information.

  6. Record

Record what took place, collect suitable feedback where possible and describe the limits of what was learned.

03Activity records

School activities in October 2025

Events and stories show what KCK has actually done. KCK took part in two separate school activities in Islamabad in October 2025. The records are presented individually because the host, setting and activity differed.

04How we describe it

How we describe completed activity

Every public record should state what KCK did, where and when it happened, who hosted it and whether the activity has ended or continues. It should describe the audience only as far as the evidence and permissions allow.

KCK keeps separate activities separate. It does not combine hosts, assign an unverified date or add a total simply to make the work look larger.

A number of people present

  • Is a record of attendance

Is not the same as

  • A number of people helped
  • A lasting change in knowledge or behaviour
  • A number of cancers prevented

Every future story should explain

  • The status and month or year
  • The host, venue, city and country
  • Why the activity took place and who it was for
  • What KCK and the host each contributed
  • Which material, talk or activity was used
  • What evidence supports any number or outcome
  • What KCK learned and what it could not measure
  • The permission, caption and credit for every image or quotation

05Upcoming events

No upcoming public event

No public KCK event is listed just now.

This does not mean that a visitor can attend a school or community activity without an invitation from the host.

Follow KCK for approved announcements. If your organisation has a clear audience and idea, use Work with us to explain the proposed activity. An enquiry is not a booking or commitment.

06Past support

Past healthcare and screening support in Pakistan

Completed. Not currently offered through this website.

KCK has previously supported free medical clinics and provided bowel-screening kits to hospitals in Pakistan. This is completed activity and is not currently offered to the public through this website.

Please noteVisitors cannot use the website to book a clinic, request a kit, receive a screening result or obtain a referral.

Anyone seeking screening information should use the official or local healthcare route that applies to them. Screening programmes, test availability and eligibility vary between countries and services.

07UK and Pakistan

Working in the United Kingdom and Pakistan

  • Where KCK works

    The United Kingdom and Pakistan

Each record names its country because community needs, languages, local health services and official guidance can differ.

  • Everywhere else

    Online information only

Online information may reach people elsewhere, but that does not mean KCK is registered or operating in every country. KCK is not registered as a charity in Pakistan or the United States.

A visitor outside the UK or Pakistan should use their own national health authority for local medical guidance.

08Your enquiry

What a useful enquiry includes

A clear first message helps KCK understand whether an idea fits its charitable purpose and current capacity. Schools, universities, community organisations and healthcare settings can explain:

  • The organisation, location and main contact.
  • The intended audience and approximate age range.
  • The question or learning need the activity should address.
  • The proposed topic, format, timing and language.
  • What the host can provide and what it is asking KCK to provide.
  • Any accessibility, supervision or safeguarding needs.
  • Whether photography, recording, sponsorship or publicity is proposed.
  • How the activity might be evaluated without collecting unnecessary personal information.

09After an enquiry

What happens after an enquiry

KCK will consider the proposal’s charitable fit, public benefit, evidence, capacity, safety, cost, responsibilities and communication needs. It may ask for more information, suggest a smaller or different format, or decide that it cannot take the activity forward.

An enquiry is not a booking, funding promise or endorsement.

No public announcement should be made until KCK and the host have agreed what can be said.

10Reporting

How future activity will be reported

A useful update explains the purpose of the activity, what happened, what participants received and what KCK learned. Feedback should be described as feedback, not clinical evidence.

Any number needs

  • A definition
  • A date range
  • A source
  • An approver

KCK can also report limitations. For example, a short session may show whether learners found an explanation clear, but it cannot establish whether cancer risk changed.

Honest limits make the record more useful and trustworthy.

11Sharing

Share an activity responsibly

Use the page’s approved title, date and description when sharing a KCK event. Do not add a participant name, school detail, medical claim or photograph that KCK has not approved.

If an activity record appears inaccurate, use the correction route and identify the exact wording.

PrivacyDo not send private health or pupil information.

Bring prevention learning to your setting

  • If your organisation has a specific audience and a clear learning need, tell KCK what you hope to achieve.
  • We will consider whether a talk, discussion, story, resource or wider collaboration is suitable.
