Prevention only works when it reaches people. These are the rooms we've been in — school halls, awareness days, book launches and a TEDx stage — and the children who walked out of them with a comic in their hands.

Elephants in the Room — comic launch
The launch of our children's comic Elephants in the Room, published in English and Urdu — a gentle story about a bear called Ted Lee, told by the elephant twins Ella and Fella, that helps children understand cancer without being frightened by it.
Beaconhouse School System, Pakistan
Prevention assembly — Beaconhouse School System
A whole-school assembly on cancer prevention, with Dr Khan taking questions from the floor and every pupil leaving with a comic of their own — in English or Urdu.
Roots IVY, Pakistan
Pinktober — breast-cancer awareness day
A school Pinktober day for breast-cancer awareness month: a fundraising bake sale, pink ribbons across the field, and prevention comics for the youngest pupils.
Kinnaird, Pakistan
TEDx — “I Wish I Was An Elephant”
Dr Khan's TEDx talk, built around the question the charity is named for: elephants have far more cells than we do and far less cancer, so what are they doing that we are not? No date is published — the stage carries no year we can read.
Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Peshawar
Comics for the children's ward — Shaukat Khanum
Taking the comics onto the children's ward, with the staff who look after them — an afternoon of reading together rather than a photo call.
Video
Short films from our October 2025 tour in Islamabad: one comic launch and two school visits. Nothing here runs longer than two and a half minutes.
Looking for Dr Khan explaining prevention? Those are on our videos page.
Comic book launch — event highlights
The launch of the comic series made with Gogi Studios — the books, the people behind them, and the reason a cancer charity publishes comics for children at all.
Prevention assembly — Beaconhouse G-15
A whole-school assembly on cancer prevention: questions from the floor, and every pupil leaving with a copy of Elephants in the Room.
Pinktober — Roots IVY H-8
A breast-cancer awareness day run by the school itself — a bake sale, a campus turned pink, and a conversation about screening that teenagers were part of.
Cancer prevention seminar — Hazara University
A full lecture hall at Hazara University for an hour on why most cancer is preventable, and what a student can actually do about it. Recording by Voice of Hazara.
Fundraising evening — the montage
An evening of people giving their time and money to prevention work — the room, the auction table, and the volunteers who ran it.
Bring this to your school
Assemblies, comics and prevention resources — we'll come to you. £10 puts a comic in a child's hands for a year.
