Biography
Dr. Mohammad Muneeb Khan M.B.B.S., M.R.C.P. (London), MSc Clinical Oncology (Birmingham University), F.R.C.R. (London) has worked in NHS England for more than 20 years, with clinical experience in the field of General Medicine and Oncology. He has also been a Principal Investigator for multiple national and international Cancer Research Trials.
His role at KCK
Dr Khan is the founder of Killing Cancer Kindly, one of its trustees, and KCK's clinical and editorial lead. He helps shape the charity's approach to prevention, education, research and kinder communication.
For medical website content, his role is to review whether the meaning is accurate, balanced and useful for the intended reader. He considers the evidence, important limits, the distinction between association and cause, and the route a visitor should use when general information is not enough.
A clinical review label applies only to the exact page, script, tool rule or resource that Dr Khan has approved. His involvement with KCK does not turn the website into a personal medical service and does not imply that every external article or partner statement has been reviewed by him.
A kinder approach to cancer information
KCK's public voice reflects a straightforward principle: accuracy and kindness should work together. People need honest information about cancer risk and uncertainty, but they also need that information in language they can use without feeling blamed or overwhelmed.
Accuracy and kindness should work together.
Dr Khan's book and other KCK material inform the organisation's themes and voice. Public medical claims are still checked against current authoritative guidance before publication. This protects the distinction between KCK's own ideas, a personal explanation and evidence that is suitable for public health information.
The approach also separates prevention from promises. A healthy action can reduce risk without making anyone immune from cancer. Screening can help find some cancers or precancerous changes, but it is not a guarantee and it is not a substitute for seeking advice about symptoms.
Education and public communication
Dr Khan contributes to KCK education through school sessions, community discussions, videos, writing and creative health stories. The aim is to give children and adults a suitable way into complex subjects while keeping medical meaning clear.
Different audiences need different levels of detail. A child-facing story should avoid frightening explanations and personal risk scores. An adult prevention page can include more context and limitations. A professional or research update should state the project stage, source and uncertainty directly.

Research experience and responsibility
Dr Khan has been a Principal Investigator for multiple national and international cancer research trials. KCK uses that experience to support a careful public approach to research: describe the real stage, do not recruit before the proper route exists, and do not present an idea as a result.
KBCK is a KCK research initiative currently in development. It is not active or recruiting. No result, clinical benefit, approval, or public access is being claimed.
