A UK cancer-prevention charity, working in the UK & Pakistan

About Killing Cancer Kindly

Clear information, kind action and honest hope

Killing Cancer Kindly is a registered charity helping people understand cancer prevention and take practical steps without blame, fear, or false promises.

Our long-term aim

“We aim to reduce the cancer risk from 50% down to 5% by 2050.”

This is an ambitious organisational aim. It is not an individual promise, a risk score or a claim that every cancer can be prevented.

Our story

Killing Cancer Kindly was founded and registered in 2022. It is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in England and Wales under charity number 1200040.

KCK carries out activities in the United Kingdom and Pakistan and shares online information with a wider audience. This wider reach does not mean that KCK is registered as a charity or provides local services in every country. KCK is not registered as a charity in Pakistan or the United States.

The charity brings together Dr Khan's medical and research experience with public education, creative storytelling and community activity. Organisational facts come from KCK records. Public medical claims are checked separately against current authoritative guidance.

Our three pillars

Prevent what we can

We make evidence about tobacco, movement, food, body weight, alcohol, ultraviolet radiation and cancer-linked infections easier to understand. We say "reduce risk" rather than promise prevention, and we recognise the barriers that can make change difficult.

Notice and act earlier

Prevention, screening and diagnosis are different. We help visitors understand those differences and find current official information for their country. KCK does not decide eligibility or assess symptoms.

Make cancer care kinder

We support communication that is accurate, calm and humane. This principle shapes KCK education, community work, medical content and research boundaries.

Why KCK exists

Cancer affects people in every kind of family and community, but reliable information does not always feel easy to find or use. Medical language can be difficult. Headlines can make early findings sound certain. Prevention messages can leave people feeling blamed for circumstances they could not control.

KCK exists to make this information clearer and kinder. We focus on what evidence supports, explain uncertainty, and offer practical ways to begin. Kindness does not mean hiding difficult facts. It means giving those facts the right context and treating each person with respect.

Our work also recognises that health is shaped by more than individual choice. Age, inherited genes and chance matter. So do addiction, income, work, disability, housing, food access, air quality and access to healthcare. Effective prevention needs informed people and conditions that make healthier choices more possible.

Killing Cancer Kindly helps people understand and reduce preventable cancer risks through clear, compassionate information, practical action, community education and responsible research.

“I’ve been involved with Killing Cancer Kindly for about a year. With my mother battling cancer for over 20 years, I’ve learned through Dr. Khan and the charity that much of her illness might have been preventable. Now, we have the opportunity to focus on cancer prevention, not just treatment, to protect our loved ones before diagnosis.”
