Support the mission

Half of us will one day hear the words "you have cancer." Your gift is how that changes.

Not every cancer can be prevented, but several actions can reduce risk across a population. Your donation can support KCK’s approved work across prevention information, education and community activity.

Online donations open soon

Our secure donation service is being set up. Please do not email payment details. Until it opens, there are other ways to help KCK:

  • Share a reliable KCK page with someone who may find it useful

How we use your money

Trustees direct donations to KCK’s charitable purpose and approved work. KCK will publish spending figures only when the trustees have approved the evidence and method behind them.

Our long-term aim

“Our aim is to reduce the cancer risk from 50% down to 5% by 2050.”

This is KCK's ambitious long-term organisational aim. It describes the scale of change we want to help create through prevention, earlier action, education, responsible research and kindness. It is not a personal risk calculation, a guarantee, or a result KCK has already achieved.

KCK will only report progress against this aim after the trustees approve a clear measurement method that defines the population, starting point, outcome and evidence. Until then, it is presented as an aim, never as an achieved impact figure.

How KCK works

Our work is organised around three connected pillars.

Together they move from reducing avoidable risk, to recognising when professional help may be needed, to making information and care more humane.

Prevent what we can

We explain proven ways to reduce cancer risk without presenting healthy behaviour as a test of character. The focus is on useful actions, supportive environments and current evidence.

Notice and act earlier

Prevention is only one part of cancer control. We help people understand that screening is for people without symptoms, while a new, persistent or unexplained change needs an appropriate healthcare route. Guidance is labelled by country because services and eligibility differ.

Make cancer care kinder

Kindness means speaking honestly without removing uncertainty, listening to the people an activity is meant to serve, and refusing to use fear or false hope. It also means setting clear boundaries around research, medical advice and what KCK can currently provide.
